NIGHT 220 – THE STORY OF KING SHAHRIMAN AND HIS SON QAMAR AL ZAMAN

Can you guess what this is…

….It’s actually a musical instrument, a Mongolian mouth harp. My husband has had it since childhood and just found it again, he learnt to play it with some Mongolian friends and it just so happens that in Slovakia they have the same instrument. You also find variations from Siberia and India. (That is not him playing in the background however, that is a professional!)

You twang it between your teeth. I wonder what this does to your skull long-term… although it makes a beautiful, resounding, powerfully haunting (and loud) sound, all in such a small metallic device!
