Now the sky is right! Whole painting is still in progress but at least the sky is done. It’s worth tweaking things until you’re happy. The sky had to be light to be in harmony with the water. Trying to transpose the dome painting done in oils into miniature style is not that straightforward! Oils are better suited to rich deep bright colours and miniature or water based suited to these bright pastel bright colours… hard to explain in words and is more of a feeling. I like both
